The MacFarlenes
The MacFarlene family were a centralized family to the Hounds of Hell, however they were slightly unusual as they had nothing to do with the making of the club or anything similar. Simply put, the MacFarlenes were a power that grew within the club slowly over the years on the road.
The MacFarlenes are a relatively Shadowlord family, however where they reside within the graces of Grandfather Thunder, this was not always so, in fact the roots of the MacFarlenes in fact come from very different sources and origins.
The best known member of the family is Brendon MacFarlene, known as Thunder Scream, an Adren of Thunder. He was an extremely late shifter, however made up for his lost years with a highly active garou life, starting off a member of a high serving warban within the Hounds of Hell, to finally become Alpha only just over a year later.
Brendon MacFarlene found fame as a well known Rockstar within mortal society, once part of a huge band known as Pendulum, they specialized in Drum and Bass but Brendon soon however decided to part ways with his band and made his solo career as a powerhouse vocalist and brilliant Guitar player and front man.
Brendon's younger brother was a man who mostly kept back from the limelight, though a troubled man with multiple substance addictions. Though Brendon himself was no saint in that regard. Wade MacFarlene was a kinfolk for most of his life, something the brothers seemed to share, both being extremely late shifters in the ways of the garou.
Brendon and Wade both became Shadowlords however their own father a man named Quentin was in fact as Child of Gaia Ahroun who married a young and beautiful woman named Trisha, actually a Silver Fang by birth but not accepted to the tribe because of her low breeding. Trisha was turned extremely bitter by the way the Falcon's Tribe had treated her, though marrying Quentin for love, she quickly found the Ahroun to be too laid back for her. However as their marital issues grew the family were rocked by the death of Quentin at the hands of a massiver Black Spiral attack on the Caern in Florida where the family resided.
Trisha never remarried, holding herself up by raising her two boys on her own. Later becoming Brendon's publicist. Trisha was a hard hitting woman with white long hair, she kept in defiance of the tribe that jilted her, her long fingers tipped famously with silver edged nails. She would be an intimidating woman to meet on the wrong side of an arguement.
Brendon had some real trouble in love, Wade pretty similar. Both of the brothers were involved with a Fianna born Glasswalker named Annie who the brothers would both hold dear throughout the years. Bren and Annie made a large music studio within Houston named Mac Studios. Annie herself an accomplished Rock singer and DJ.
However it was an interview with another musician, a Fianna named Callum Donaghue that threw the entire family into a spin. Only weeks afterwards Annie telling both the brothers that she had fallen pregnant after things got a little... personal... between the two of them.
Brendon was furious with the situation, Wade however went quietly back to his drug filled escape. Bren made his way to the Deep Urban Caern to confront the Fianna Galliard who was known as a member of the Hounds of Hell for a time that were residing at the Caern for the time this occured.
During his time there however, Bren had gotten himself so rage filled that he fell to his first shift in the middle of the Caern, however luckily he was faced with the brick wall of a Fenrir Ahroun known as Fredrick Mahn.
Trisha and the rest of the family watched with some horror as Brendon found his way into the Warban and began lift whole-heartedly as a Hound. He did agree however to continue recording with Annie as she went through her pregnancy, being there for her at every turn. Callum however was kept out of the loop by Annie who wanted nothing more to do with the Fianna.
Wade didn't join the Hounds for a while but soon he did follow his brother out onto the road, curious about the life his brother was creating with such a bunch of Gaians. However as again it didn't take long for the stress to get to the Ragabash and he too shifted, taking under his brother's wing in the Sept.
Once again however tragedy was just around the corner. Whilst Annie went into labour and the family celebrated the birth of Farrah, Brendon's own kinfolk, Raine, a woman that Bren had decided to marry was also pregnant heavily with a little girl, who would be known as Nadiya, turned a gun on herself.
Bren and Raine had been arguing after Bren had found out that his own fiancee had tried to order his murder at the hands of other corrupt Shadowlords who had recently come into the Hounds. The betrayal was a heavy hit to Bren who let the kinfolk walk off, but as he sat down in a small run down building the Hounds were calling home he watched Raine walk off into the surrounding sands, he saw the glint of the gun in her hand and with a touch of his rage he shifted to hispo throwing himself from the upper window to chase after the fenrir kinfolk, only a second too late as the bullet exploded from the gun and killed Raine instantly from her own hand.
Bren could only watch in horror, shifting to homid he held the woman in his arms panicking as the group tried to save her, however it was a decision cut short by the need to rescue the baby girl inside the kinfolk who would surely die with her mother if left alone.
Wade ran to his brother's side accompanied by another Shadowlord would become important in the future story of the family, Amaris Santiago. The two Shadowlords made quick work of ripping into Raine as Bren held her in a haze of shock and sorrow, bloodcovered as they pulled the baby girl free from Raine's body, baby Nadiya certainly made an impact with her sudden birth.
Bren seemed to have a history of bloodshed however, this was proven with the appearence of a Black Fury who walked straight from Bren's past, the tale between the two proved horrific in it's detail. However she was not alone, as with her was a little boy, almost 3 years old who would prove to be Bren's eldest son, Leocaido. Leo, the son of a Shadowlord and a Black Fury Freebooter, was indeed homid thanks to Bren's late shifting.
Bren aspired to be the best father he could to the little boy, he'd also by this time was getting married to the Shadowlord Kinfolk who had saved his daughter. A strong and intelligent young woman named Amaris.
Leo's mother, Admenta, had been heartbroken to discover that Bren was now garou and so because of the laws of the liteny they had no chance to reconcile anything between them for love or for Leo. However Bren did all he could to reassure the Fury that he would always there for Leo.
Bren and Admenta had been separated, after a brief marriage, due to circumstances that left most wide eyed and horrified. Bren had had long term problems with his heart, a result of genetics but also his immense drug usage over the years. On their way back from the hospital they had been making their way to the Caern they both had lived in, only hours after finding out that Admenta was pregnant. Bren was weakened and extremely ill, but he was over the moon to be becoming a father. As they two left their car they were set upon by 3 fectori and a Black Spiral Dancer. Bren took the first hit, a hammer to his skull leaving him bleeding on the ground and in dire danger as the Spiral ran after Admenta who Bren had tried to distract them from.
Bren laid on the floor, heart pounding and in risk of a heart attack,, his skull broken, as he watched the Spiral tackle his young wife to the ground, claws tearing her clothing from her as his viciousness became obvious. Bren summoned on strength he didn't know he had, picking up the hammer still coated with his blood he ran unsteadily but fast as hell for the Spiral and slammed the hammer into the creature, battling with everything he could muster. But it did not take long for the Spiral to tear Bren into pieces and soon the then Child of Gaia Kinfolk lay on the ground, breathing what he deemed his last, tears running from his eyes as he watched his wife's eyes become unseeing.
Bren had only just been saved after months in Charter's Hill hospital but for all purposes he believed Admenta and his son to have died back there. He had not recovered from it fully even when they walked back into his life unscathed and well. The story never really did come to light on what exactly happened to Admenta and Leo in order for them to survive. But many thought it was something to do with Grandfather Thunder or Pegasus, whoever it was however, Bren was grateful.
The family were soon joined with the births of Caspian and Melody, twins that Bren and Amaris welcomed to the world, overjoyed to have children between them. The twins marked the union between the two to settle, however hard the road had been. Made harder by the camp that Brendon would take, becoming one of the honored and feared Bringers of Light.
Bren used his abilities for the Camp, the MC and also his tribe and nation repeatedly, making his reputation grow and grow, even with Amaris beside him, the two became what was deemed unstoppable even in the face of Pentex who they came into a deeper contact with the vicious attack that occured near to the time of the Hounds disappearence. However before this, Amaris would give Bren a last child, a baby boy they named Tristan, after Bren's mother.
Bren took the death of the founding Alpha, John Killdare hard, trying to be there for the brothers he had grown to have and love, he found no choice but to challenge for Alpha. From all reports his reign seemed to be going positively however it was during the changing few first weeks of his term that the Hounds seemed to have disappeared entirely. Bren, Amaris and Admenta with them.
