Below is a channel window for you to use to enter our IRC (Internet Relay Chat)  channel. This is very simple to use.

All you need to do is consider a nickname to call yourself, your own name is perfectly fine or an online tag for example.

Once you have chosen which name you would like to use then simply enter it in the box below and hit the CONNECT button below.

Yep! it's that simple!

Below the chat box are some useful hits and commands for you to use!

We look forward to seeing you!

Useful Commands:

 /me

- This command may be the one you use most of all during game and also mostly out of character. This will provide a narration using your chosen nickname rather than just a speaking action.

for example:

/me walks around the Sept looking around at the vast area of grass

provides:

* Charlotte_The_Storyteller walks around the Sept looking around at the vast area of grass

 `rps

- This command is used when making tests much similar to rolling dice in a game set in table top rules or throwing rock paper scissors in a live action setting. typing this command will give a random rock paper or scissors result, therefore eliminating cheating.

for example:

<Charlotte_The_Storyteller> `rps

<GameServ> Scissors

 /join

- This command is used to join another channel for example the In Character channels or into another IC (in character) area, it will open another tab at the top of your Chat Box.

for example:

/join #Hounds:Camp

This will open up the Camp In Character area for you where you will able to role play freely with your approved characters.

Other Useful Information and Tips:

- when you are finished using your chat box then just click on the 'X' in the corner of your tabs to leave the channel or to sever your connection to the main room. You can close a room without losing other connections by only clicking the 'X' for that tab rather than all of them. You will be presented with a pop up box asking if you wish to sever connection. Clicking yes will allow you to quit the whole chat.

- Those with the small stars next to their names are Operatives of the Channels. These will be your Storytellers, who are available for you to contact for help or discussion.

- You may double click on a name in the list to the side of your Chat Box. This will open up a private message port where you will be able to speak with this person only without others being able to see your messages.

- If you wish to create a room you may using the '#' and a room name. for example - #Hounds:Camp  if you see these channels and do not feel like typing out the '/join #hounds:camp' as the example above, you can double click directly on the text and it will open up the room in the same way.

 /nick

- This command is used to change your nickname on the IRC channel. This name must be presented as one word but can have underscores in order to provide apparent spaces also.

for example:

<Charlotte_The_Storyteller> /nick Charlotte

* Charlotte_The_Storyteller is now known as Charlotte
