Role Play of the Seas

Pearl Weepers
The Pearl Weepers may be infact the most sociable of the Merfolk tribes. Much to the distain of some of the other tribes and even the more traditional of their own, they have come to live in the shallows and dockyards of dirtwalkers and can be found sometimes in regular contact with them. They feel the need for connection on the Unsea more than most of the other Merfolk do, this of course is not without conflict.
They have suffered great losses for this connection, not only at the hooks and nets of seafarers but also from the other tribes who take their behaviour as insult. The Pearl Weepers believe that the only way for the sea to survive it's current state of being pillaged and harmed is for the sea creatures to let the dirtwalkers understand what they are really doing.
They believe in the goodness of hearts, including that by teaching the dirtwalkers of what lies beneath the waves, they will be able to end the suffering of their people.
Of course this does not always end well.
Pearl Weepers are most numerous amongst the betweeners, working with dirtwalkers and other shifters they are obviously only trying to do what they feel is right. But this causes much anger under the seas, the other tribes believing them to be near down right crazy in their wishes and beliefs of a union between the land and sea. They have seen many Pearl Weepers strung from lines and gutted like their fish brethern before their so-called lessons could even be heard.
As such life as a Pearl Weeper is far from easy, consistantly pulled between their wish to please their underwater loved ones but knowing what their tribe's calling is. It is not unusual for a Pearl Weeper to plead for the life of a drowning human or dirtwalking shifter. However this being said, if a Pearl Weeper is harmed by one of those above the water they will be ferocious in their vengence. They are known to be vicious in battle like the other tribes but these merfolk also can play humans into madness, stalking out their pray and letting their target feel the nets closing around them. A death by a Pearl Weeper is a consistant fear to those seafarers who have claimed fish blood. It is even said that the Legend of the 'Black Spot' comes from these creatures.
Tribal Totem: Usha
Advantage: A Pearl Weeper will not lose social traits in their different forms and also will not gain negative social traits either, they will however gain them when it in appropriate forms such as Homid, like normal.
Drawback: The Pearl Weepers may only ever eat raw food, they cannot eat cooked food no matter how they try and will always vomit this food before an hour passes after eating it. Their eyes are the other drawback, only ever the lightest shades of blue or even silvery gray they also cry pearly white tears, giving away their existence all too easily for those wishing to take their tears or even just their skins as prizes. The pearly tears of a Pearl Weeper is rumored to have massive healing properties.
Backgrounds: Pearl Weepers may not take Influences of any kind, believing these to be taking advantages of those around them, morally unforgiveable and against their tribal wish for union.
Beginning Tribal Gifts: Healing Tears, Calm, Breach.
Mer Form: Pearl Weepers are always fair skinned and pale, their long hair normally takes the shades of platinum blondes and down to white. Their seaforms continue this theme with pale scales and gills, almost ghostly in appearence.
Organization: The Pearl Weepers are a little strange in their organization, some would say they tend to have none but there are rumors of a once great grandfather that ventured out onto the lands to begin the works of making union between the land and sea.
Habitat / Protectorate: The Pearl Weepers are known to live within the dockyards and shallows of the ocean, near to landfolk and dirtwalker shifters, they are most known and most seen of the Merfolk and wish for the union previously spoken about on this page. They will normally sleep in the shallow waters of cave lakes and other tucked away places, close to the land.
