Wallicha during much of its past has been a land held by turmoil and grief, having been invaded by everyone from the Arabs to the Mongols, at one point thought of as the heart of the Ottoman Empire. The constant state of disary and bad political decisions ultimately resulted in the Sept around the lands fell to the Leeches known as the Tzimisce in the 15th Century.

 

It wasn't until the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the Crimean war of the mid 1850's that was the kin resolve of Warring factions between House Austere Howl, and Clan of the Crescent Moon of Britian and Russia respectively, that the even that would fall into an uproar.

At this time both of the Silver Fang houses made a mess of politics in just the same fashion as their kin amongst the noble courts of those nations did. During this time Clan of the Crescent Moon Overextended its reach and made to “ Liberate” the Sept of the Night Sky. They did a fine job of stirring things up amongst the various Vampire sects that had over run the region, however thy destroyed a tenuous status quo the Shadow Lords had managed to arrange ans as a result the Shadow Lords weren't able to keep the leeches from locking things down once Clan of the Cresent Moon and Austere Howl pulled out. In the end their lands became a bona fide state, however due to the silver fangs meddling, the Vampires were in control. Other Garou occupied the Shadow Lords home territories and walked all over the tribe as a whole....and the Silver Fangs were in charge.

 

It isn't just the sept making this progress either, Anatoly Masaryk, the successor to the seat of leadership in the Thunderstrike sept in Russia was put in place largely thanks to the Margraves efforts. It seems that old Alexander Volkov had outlived his usefullness. And the Margrave decided to put more liberal and open minded Shadow Lord in charge of the Sept of Father Night's Stead. The Suppor the Shadow Lords Gave to the Russian Garou proved decisive in the ending the war against the Baba Yaga and as a result they have a position of respect (if not trust) amongs the Russian Werewolves. And since the Margrave has Masaryk in his back pocket, that means he has clout in Russia as well. The Margrave's guding philosphy seems to be relatively straightforward: dominate the pack you must, treat those who are capable as equals, and bow before no one.. The Silver Fangs hate him save one house, the most influencial house, the clan of the Crescent Moon. His mother kinfolk of this house, and again he earned the respect of Queen Tamara during his assistance with the Baba Yaga forging an alliance between Sept of the Night Sky and The Winter Palace, that is all but unbreakable.
